You will manage certification projects end-to-end, from application through to certification support, working across sectors including building products, plumbing, personal protective equipment (PPE), safety products, and fire systems.

This is a hands-on, technically focused role requiring the ability to interpret technical documentation, assess compliance, and apply sound technical judgement within a product certification environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical assessments of product applications against relevant standards, codes, and certification scheme requirements (WaterMark, ProdCert and PerforMark)
  • Review test reports, engineering assessments, and compliance documentation
  • Manage certification projects end-to-end
  • Conduct product and manufacturing audits (remote and on-site)
  • Identify non-conformances and manage corrective actions
  • Support certification decisions with clear technical input
  • Act as a key technical contact for clients
  • Ensure alignment with ISO/IEC 17065/ISO/IEC 17067, scheme rules, and internal procedures
  • Support ongoing certification maintenance and surveillance activities

About You

  • Demonstrated experience within one or more of the following sectors: manufacturing, plumbing, personal protective equipment (PPE), building products, safety products, fire systems and associated products, or related industries
  • Background in product certification, testing, auditing, or compliance environments
  • Experience conducting audits within quality management systems (ISO 9001 or equivalent), supported by an ISO 9001 Lead Auditor qualification (or equivalent)
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, test reports, and engineering data, and apply sound technical judgement
  • Demonstrated ability to apply technical judgement within compliance, certification, or audit environments
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and competing priorities
  • Clear and professional communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • High level of attention to detail with a structured, methodical approach

Desirable

Experience working within an accredited product certification body or similar product assurance environment (testing, inspection, or certification of products)
