Lead in Plumbing Products
This Implementation Plan is a roadmap for the national transition to lead free plumbing products through NCC 2022 and sets out the key milestones and review points for installation and enforcement.
Marking of WaterMark Compliant Products
Product marking is of utmost importance when it comes to plumbing products under the mandatory WaterMark Scheme. Adhering to the guidelines set forth in the scheme ensures compliance with the Plumbing Code of Australia (PCA) through the National Construction Code (NCC) and helps maintain the integrity of plumbing systems. Proper product marking enables easy identification of compliant items, providing assurance that they meet the necessary standards for water safety and quality. It also helps prevent the use of non-compliant or substandard products, safeguarding public health and preserving the integrity of our water supply. Accurate marking fosters transparency, allowing for effective quality control, traceability, and accountability within the plumbing industry. By upholding the WaterMark Scheme’s product marking requirements, we contribute to a safer and more reliable plumbing infrastructure.
