Reminder – Manufacturing Declarations and Certification Scope
CMI Certification would like to take this opportunity to remind all certificate holders of their obligations regarding manufacturing declarations and certification scope.
Certification is granted based on the specific product, manufacturing locations, and production arrangements assessed during the certification process.
As part of maintaining certification, certificate holders must ensure that:
- Products supplied under certification are manufactured only at the facilities declared and assessed as part of the certification scope.
- Any changes to manufacturing locations, subcontract manufacturing, or production arrangements arenot implemented until they have been formally notified to and assessed by CMI Certification.
- Products supplied under certification continue to match the approved design, materials, and manufacturing processes evaluated during certification.
Please note that failure to notify CMI Certification of changes to manufacturing locations or production arrangements may result in non-conformance and may affect certification status.
If your organisation is considering:
- Adding a new manufacturing facility
- Changing manufacturing suppliers
- Introducing subcontract manufacturing
- Modifying production arrangements
Please contact CMI Certification prior to implementing the change so the appropriate evaluation can be undertaken.
This reminder is issued to ensure ongoing compliance with relevant scheme requirements and to support the integrity of certified products within the market.
If you have any questions or wish to notify us of changes, please contact our team.
Kind regards,
CMI Certification
